Add Transactions with Smart AI

Smart AI is the fastest way to log your daily money activity. Simply type, talk, or snap a photo of a receipt, and Smart Pocket automatically fills in the details.

What this feature helps you do

Manual form-filling is the #1 reason people stop tracking expenses. Smart AI removes this friction by:

• Understanding everyday conversational sentences in multiple languages.

• Extracting store names, amounts, dates, and line items directly from receipt images or PDFs.

• Automatically assigning the appropriate category, tag, and account.

How to use Smart AI (3 Ways)

1. Type it (Natural Text)

• Tap Type it on the Smart AI dashboard card or sidebar.

• Type naturally, for example:

  • "Paid AED 140 for petrol at ADNOC using Bank card"

  • "Received AED 500 cash from brother for dinner repayment"

• Smart AI extracts the amount, selects the category (Transport), and assigns the account (Bank).

2. Say it (Voice Entry)

• Tap Say it to open the microphone.

• Speak clearly: "Spent 45 dirhams on groceries cash at Spinneys."

• Smart AI transcribes your voice, calculates the amount, and prepares the transaction.

3. Upload receipt (Photo / PDF Scan)

• Tap Upload receipt.

• Take a photo of your printed receipt or upload an image/document from your phone or computer.

• Smart AI scans the receipt, extracts the merchant name, total amount, taxes, and date.

4. Review & Save

• Smart AI displays the prepared transaction card for your confirmation.

• Make any minor adjustment if needed, then tap Save Transaction.

Practical Examples

• Coffee on the go: While walking to your office, tap Say it and speak: "18 dirhams iced latte cash". Smart Pocket creates an AED 18 expense under Food & Dining from your Cash account.

• Supermarket receipt scan: You upload a photo of a long grocery bill from Carrefour totaling AED 312.40. Smart AI automatically populates the merchant as Carrefour, sets the category to Groceries, and assigns the date.

Helpful Tips

• Specify payment methods: If you say "by credit card" or "cash", Smart AI automatically selects the right account.

• Add tags in speech: You can speak tags directly: "AED 220 for dinner with tag #DubaiTrip".

• Check AI Usage History: Tap AI Usage History anytime to review previous scans and prompts.
